What is Organic Maca Powder?
Dubbed the “superfood of the Andes”, Maca is popular amongst the indigenous population of the Peruvian Andes. Maca is a small root vegetable from the Maca plant typically grown at altitudes over 3,500 metres. Traditionally integrated in the nutrition of natives, the Maca root has evolved into a modern day “superfood”. Maca has a rich malty flavour that combines well with cacao, another “superfood”. Maca provides a range of nutrients, an abundance of calcium and an assortment of vitamins including C, B2 (riboflavin) and B6. Our Organically certified raw Maca roots are cultivated without the use of pesticides. Once dried the Maca root is ground into a fine powder and packaged. Organic Maca powder is certified organic by the Soil Association under the code GB-ORG-05.

Organic Maca Powder is an extremely nutrient-dense product which provides 17.8% of your RDA of vitamin C and 30% of your RDA of copper in each 5g serving. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth while copper also plays a role in maintaining healthy connective tissue. Copper and Vitamin C contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous and immune system as well as to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
